Leo is 80 not out

CRAIGAVON resident Leo Foy celebrated his 80th birthday last week.

Leo is well known in the local community for his love of singing and started his career in Portadown Town Hall at 11 years of age.

He was boy soprano alongside the likes of Gloria Hunniford and a young Jackie Wright, who went on to become Benny Hill’s sidekick in the popular TV show.

Leo was given the Mayor’s Award around 10 years ago and also the prestigious Carer’s Award from the William Keown Trust.

Leo and his wife Patricia recently celebrated 51 years of marriage and along with their daughter Annemarie actively attend the local senior citizens functions around the borough. In recognition of his popularity Leo was asked by Hugo Duncan to record a CD.

All of Leo’s extended family and friends wished him continued good health and happiness.
