Lessons from Holocaust

LISBURN City Council in partnership with WAVE Trauma Centre is holding a series of courses called ‘Facing History and Ourselves, Lessons from the Holocaust’, during March and April.

Facing History and Ourselves is a six session study of the importance of dealing with history.

Chairman of the Council’s Leisure Services Committee, Councillor Thomas Beckett, explained: “The courses are aimed at anyone who is interested in history and how we can explore historical issues such as the Holocaust and apply them to current day issues. Facing History and Ourselves is an education programme that is taught throughout the world. Some of the schools in the Lisburn area are already running the programme and now this is a chance to introduce the courses to the wider public.”
