Let nothing your spirit alarm

Let’s be grateful - gratitude costs you nothing

Yet such a difference it makes on the way,

There’s really so much to be thankful for

Before we reach the end of the day.

Health and strength, a good night’s sleep

The gift of life each given day,

Consider the joy of family and friends

And more words of encouragement say.

Let’s draw the best from each given hour

Our steps we can never retrieve

Go through the day extending a little cheer

And more you will receive.

Each phase of life brings something different

But let nothing your spirit alarm,

Press on, though winds of adversity blow

God is bigger than the storm.
