Licence will be revoked

A short drive in a car park will lead to a young Lurgan woman having her licence revoked, Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Friday.

Twenty year old Caitriona Doran, of Belvedere Manor, Lurgan, admitted driving without insurance on July 3 this year.

She was fined £150, with six points, and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard that she was seen driving in a car park in Castle Lane. She admitted to police she did not have insurance.

Her solicitor said she passed the test on June 27. The offence happened in the early hours of the morning when she took her boyfriend’s car for a short drive around the car park.

Because of the conviction her licence will be revoked and she will have to sit her test again.
