Life Saving Course at Coleraine Leisure Centre

THE autumn, Coleraine Leisure Centre is introducing a new Life Saving Course into its activity programme.

Starting at 7pm on Tuesday, November 2 and running for three weeks will be a ‘Basic Life Support’ class which, on completion, will provide participants with the knowledge and skill level to be able to deal with those emergency situations which unfortunately can occur all too often in everyday life.

If you have ever worried about how you might cope if a member of your family needed help in a medical emergency this could be the course for you.

It will teach you what to do if your child or any other family member started to choke, stopped breathing or had chest pains.

The Basic Life Support (BLS) qualification is a recognised qualification through the Royal Life Saving Society.

It covers CPR for adults, children and infants, treatment for cardiac arrest, chock and much more.
