Paul, a keen boater, joined the crew as Medical Advisor last summer and since then has become a very familiar face at the Lifeboat House.

Paul said: “The RNLI is a wonderful organisation and I am proud firstly to have been asked to be the Medical Advisor for Portrush but also to run the Marathon to raise funds for the volunteer crews.

“The crew at Portrush are a brilliant bunch and have no qualms about turning out in all weathers, the least Steve and I can do is to run round London to raise funds for such a good cause.”

James Heaney recently appointed Chair of the Lifeboat Management Committee commended the two men.

“It’s wonderful that Paul and Steve are doing the marathon one more time for the RNLI. We’ll all be keeping an eye on the TV to see if we can spot the RNLI running vests.” he said.
