The local lady started her Bushmills musical career in 1975 and has loved all of her 39-years performing every Sunday and with the choir on special occasions including Christmas and Easter.

Not only was Mrs Elliott a dedicated member of the congregation but was also a leader in the Youth Fellowship, later the TNT Group, as well as a committed Committee member.

Speaking to Elder Alec Twaddle explained: “Mrs Elliott has, and still will be, a valued member of the church. She has given nearly four decades of her life to playing the organ for us and she will be sadly missed. However we hope Mrs Elliott enjoys her retirement and taking it easy.

Coleraine lady Lorna Balmer is her replacement and has very big shoes to fill although she is already doing a grand job.”
