Volunteer helper Hazel Todd completes the dedicated team, who work hard to provide youngsters with a happy and safe environment, so giving parents complete peace of mind.

“We can collect children from the moment that they come out of schools in the Newtownabbey and Ballyclare areas,” said Shelly. “And we are open during the school holidays as well, so children can be left with us and collected after their parents finish work. We offer a warm, friendly, family atmosphere and great flexibility when parents’ plans suddenly change and there’s a need for us to step in and help out.

“We’ve excellent, spacious facilities, lots of games and activities, have supervised homeworks, and provide snacks in the morning and afternoons.

“It’s a child-centred approach in a homely environment, and we try and make things as much fun as possible for the children, with regular outings to local parks, duck ponds and Lough Neagh.”
