Lindsay Ford invest in training

TWO Lindsay Ford apprentices have competed in the Northern Ireland Apprentice of the Year competition.

The event is run in conjuction with the Institute of the Motoring Industry, and local training providers.

Matthew Gorman, Body Repair Technician, was awarded first place whilst Neill McCall, Paint Refinish Technician, was awarded 3rd place.

David Sandford, Managing Director of Lindsay Cars was impressed by the performance of the apprentices, he said: "Matthew and Neill are both excellent examples of what can be realised when choosing an apprenticeship as a career path to employment.

“They are both recognised by us as young men with a great desire to succeed, demonstrating a high degree of commitment throughout their apprenticeships."

Lindsay Cars operate two of the largest and most modern Accident Repair Centres in the Province, employing around 50 staff. All makes of vehicles are repaired in the two centres at Knockmore, Lisburn and at Maryland, on the outskirts of Belfast.
