Linn PTA holds successful charity golf event

Linn Primary School PTA had raised over £800 during its first ever fundraising golf challenge day at Cairndhu Golf Club.

The organisation would like to thank everyone who participated in the event and winners were as follows:

Best team (based on the total score of the best two cards returned) with a total of 74 points were Michael Douglas, Gerry McIlwrath and Colin Montgomery;

Best male – Johnny Millar (40 pts);

Best female – Kate Mellor (32 pts);

Best juvenile – Jamie Hamilton (36 pts);

Longest drive (male) – Michael Douglas;

Longest drive (female) – Gail McCluggage;

Nearest the pin – Catriona Smith;

Splash pool – Caleb Lynass;

Pitch and putt – Jemma Russell and Jodi McKinstry.

Congratulations also to Richard Todd who won a P&O Ferries trip for a car and two passengers.

The PTA would like to thank their event sponsors - Cairndhu Golf Club, Olderfleet Bar, AES Ballylumford, Robin McNinch, The Port Of Larne and P&O.

They would also like to thank everyone who donated prizes, supported the event and helped in any way.
