Linzi’s plunge for Angel of Hope Memorial Garden

Linzi Taylor (17) a pupil at Coleraine College says she’s nervous ahead of the jump that will take place at Garvagh’s Wild Geese Centre.

“I spotted a post on facebook for people wanting to do a jump.

“It’s something I have always wanted to do, so I thought I would go for it.”

Already Linzi has raised just over £300.

“I had buckets out in local bars, in the shops and I held an event in The Roost Bar on Saturday night.

“I just want to thank everyone who has donated so far.

“The Angel of Hope garden is something that will benefit a lot of people in the area, so I am pleased to be raising money for it,” she said.

Although Linzi admits she is excited about the prospect of the 13,000 foot tandem jump, she says that she will most likely be nervous on the day!

Are you brave enough to walk over broken glass - for a great cause?

The Angel of Hope Memorial garden is due to open at the end of August, but there’s still some money to be raised.

This Saturday, August 22, the Sperrin Club in Coleraine will be hosting the glass walk.

The night will include a disco, raffle and inflatables for the kids.

The fun will commence at 7pm, admission is £5 for adults and kids go free.
