Lisburn Arts Advisory Committee holds AGM

LISBURN Arts Advisory Committee was delighted to elect David Sloan as its Chairperson at its Annual General Meeting on Thursday April 19 at Lisburn’s Island Arts Centre.

The additional officer bearers elected at the AGM were Richard Yarr (Vice Chair), Patsy Browne (Honorary Treasurer) and Sarah Thomson (Honorary Secretary).

The following existing Committee members were re-elected: Nonagh Boyd, Sam Perkins, Lynda Tavakoli, Mei Kuen Lui, Jane Moore, Felicity Straker Graham, Heather Campbell, Eleanor Eyre-Maunsell.

The Committee also welcomed Michelle Stephens, Grainne Cummings, Kay Eastwood, Toni Sproule, Kirsty Orr and Mo McDevitt as new members.

Resigning from long standing Committee membership were Stanley and Winifred Bell.

The Committee were saddened to lose two very valued members but thanked them dearly for their contribution over the years.

Lisburn Arts Advisory Committee manages a number of arts development activities including the Arts Grants Scheme for local individual artists and arts organisations, the incredibly popular annual Schools Arts Competition, and the prestigious bi-annual Anna Cheyne Visual Art Award.
