Lisburn firm raises a glass to new winecontract

LISBURN firm Woodford Bourne NI has secured an exclusive contract to distribute the South American wine brand Cono Sur across Northern Ireland.

Woodford Bourne NI is part of Robert Roberts which is one of Northern Ireland’s leading sales, marketing and distribution companies. Cono Sur, founded in 1993, has positioned itself as the second largest wine exporter from Chile in both volume and value and offers a wide range of wines.

Some of the wines are new to Northern Ireland including limited edition 20 Barrels Pinot Noir, a Reserva range made from a selection of fruit that is harvested from older and lower yields to increase quality and a Sparkling Brut from Bio-Bio Valley, one of the most southern origins in the world.

Also new to Northern Ireland is the Bicycle range of wine which carries the brand’s iconic bicycle image symbolising Cono Sur’s passion and commitment to the environment. Workers at the vineyards also use bicycles to move around the land in order to protect the terrain they work on.

Gareth Bradley managing director of Woodford Bourne NI is delighted to add the Cono Sur brand to its portfolio.

“The Cono Sur wine brand is well-known within the industry and we are delighted to be awarded the contract to distribute the brand across Northern Ireland,” said Gareth.

“The brand produces innovative wines from over 100 different estates in Chile, one of the world’s most southern wine regions, meaning it has a diverse range of products on offer.
