Lisburn firm spreads the happiness to Mayor’s charity

THE HB Happiness Station in Bow Street Mall will share the happiness with Lisburn 2gether Special Olympics Club, the current Mayoral charity, by donating £1 from every HB Swirl sold on SaturdayApril 7.

Three Lisburn 2gether athletes were selected for Team Ireland competing in the 2011 Special Olympics World Games in Athens, with each excelling to bring home a gold medal to Lisburn.

The Lisburn 2gether athletes are currently training for the Area Games with the ultimate goal being the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles in 2015. Each and every athlete in the club is true to the Special Olympics Athlete Oath, ‘Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt’.

The Mayor, Councillor Brian Heading, along with representatives from Lisburn 2gether Special Olympics Club, recently took some time to stop off at the HB Happiness Station and indulge in an ice cream treat.
