Lisburn group to benefit from Lidl campaign

The campaign was launched to find projects in need of funding and a helping hand.

The Lidl Community Crew will visit each of the 33 groups over the next six months helping to deliver fundraising events, presenting food demonstrations and delivering goodie bags, to help sustain the fantastic work of each project in their local area.

Conor Boyle, Regional Director at Lidl Northern Ireland was encouraged by the number of entries.

He said: “We received over 4000 nominations, a record for the campaign which is now in its third year; proving that there are still so many groups in need of support and we’re delighted to step in and continue to help where we can.”

To mark 2016 being the Northern Ireland Year of Food & Drink and to celebrate the wide range of excellent local producers Lidl works with, food will be the central focus at each of the events.

The Community Crew will also be out on the road popping up at events and Lidl stores.
