Now in its eighth year, the Ulster Tatler Awards celebrates the achievements of Ulster folk and businesses, the likes of which have filled the pages of the province’s leading lifestyle magazine for almost 50 years.

As well as awards for businesses in the beauty, fashion, interiors and hospitality industries, the ceremony also recognises individuals who have helped put Northern Ireland on the map, in the form of the Celebrity of the Year, Sportsperson of the Year and the showcase Lifetime Achievement Award.

A number of Lisburn-based businesses are also shortlisted including Monteith Interiors (Interiors Store of the Year), Jeanette Kidd Beauty and Day Spa (Beauty Salon / Spa of the Year) and Oasis Travel (Independent Travel Agent of the Year).

The Ulster Tatler Awards in association with Optilase Eye Clinic features 14 categories voted for by the public, as well as the celebrated Lifetime Achievement Award which has been presented to some of the province’s best loved individuals including Barry McGuigan, Phil Coulter, James Galway, Dame Mary Peters OBE, Brian Friel, Gloria Hunniford and Terri Hooley.

Shortlists in each category have been compiled from votes cast by members of the public with judging panels of media and industry experts then selecting the winners to be announced at the glamorous ceremony which will take place on September 17 in the iconic Belfast City Hall, presented by local TV personality Pamela Ballantine.
