Lisburn City Council recently joined the ecar Consortium and is currently working with the project team to identify suitable locations for Charge Points for electric vehicles in their Council area.

Over 40 public Charge Points are already installed in car parks and on the road parking in Belfast, Londonderry, Newry, Armagh, Enniskillen and Larne for use by owners of electric vehicles. In addition 3 Rapid Charge Points are installed near some of the major motorways. By March 2013 over 120 standard Charge Points will be installed throughout Northern Ireland.
