Lisburn retailer looks to the future as merger creates new and bigger store

Two of Lisburn’s best known retailers have merged.

JC Patterson’s business at Graham Gardens has been relocated to create a new and bigger electrical store within Smyth Patterson’s.

The two businesses had previously worked together on separate premises but now are all under one roof at Market Square.

Colin Patterson said the reason behind this was to offer a a new superstore format.

He said: “Bringing the two businesses together has enabled us to offer a bigger selection of products in one place.

“Overall we feel it will enable us to provide an even better service to our customers.”

Of course with the World Cup upon us TVs are selling well at the local busines sand Panasonic have recently launched a new range of Viera TVs which are the first to have built in roll back tv.

This means the BBCi player, ITV player, 4OD, and 5 on Demand are all part of the TV.

Mr Patterson also explained that the new carpet and rug department has seen the introduction of Asiatic rugs.

He said: “Asiatic have long been renowned for innovative designs and colours.

“They are a major supplier throughout the UK and across the globe.”

Elsewhere in the store Smyth Patterson have been adding new products and upgrading their showrooms in anticipation of the completion of the new look city centre.
