Barnardo’s NI Assistant Director Stephanie Kernohan said: “We are so proud of our volunteers, the work they do and the time they commit. Having dedicated volunteers helps us reach more children and deliver quality services. Linda’s role within the early intervention programme Incredible Years includes supporting parents with parenting skills and helping children become ready for the transition to school.

Having volunteers enriches the service we deliver and I was delighted to recognise her commitment during Volunteer’s Week.”

Volunteers with Barnardo’s can take on a range of roles from befriending, to supporting young people with disabilities to administration to literacy support. Volunteers are also needed for our shops and to help us fundraise.
