Lisburn women celebrate

The Co-operation Ireland Showcase has celebrated the achievements of Lisburn women.

The event was held at the Lagan Valley Island Centre and was the next step for the women who first came together several months ago. The ladies have progressed from getting to know you exercises and discovering the similarities they share to now looking forward to how they can decide on a common issue that affects them all as a community.

The Mayor of Lisburn, Councillor Margaret Tolerton, local councillors and MLAs came along to lend their support. The showcase is part of the ongoing integration work on the Family and Community Engagement Project (FACE). This project is the first of it’s kind and identifies the need to help Services’ families integrate into the community.
