Lisneal College pupils make learning their business

PUPILS at Lisneal College have been busy making it their business to get a head start on career options.

The Year 10 pupils at Lisneal College have gained an invaluable insight into the world of business and enterprise recently, by actively participating in the Project Business Programme.

The event was delivered in the school on Tuesday, January 11, and proved a great success.

This dynamic and eye-opening experience involved the pupils working in groups to complete a series of challenges based upon their ownership of a small business for the day.

Each 'business' was encouraged to explore its impact upon investors, employees, customers and society by working with local business volunteers.

Upon reflection of this days events, Mrs Quinn, the teacher responsible for Enterprise Education at Lisneal College, said the programme of activities had "worked to promote the thinking skills and personal capabilities that underpin the revised curriculum being taught at KS3 in Lisneal College, whilst offering Year 10 pupil's an exciting taster of GCSE Business Studies".
