List of roads closed due to storm

A Met Office Yellow Warning of Wind for Northern Ireland is currently in place, valid until 6pm today (Friday, January 29). A number of roads have been closed as a result of fallen trees.

It follows on from a Met Office Amber Warning of Wind for Northern Ireland whcich was in place until 10am this morning.

Road users should be prepared for difficult driving conditions and disruption to travel. Heavy rain and surface water will be additional hazards in places.

According to the DRD’s Traddic Watch NI website the following roads are closed in Co Armagh:

Charlestown Road, Craigavon has been closed due to a fallen tree.

Artabrackagh Road, Portadown has been closed due to a fallen tree.

Middleton Road, Armagh has been closed due to a fallen tree.

Kennedy Road, Killylea, Armagh has been closed due to a fallen tree.

The B131 Teagy Road, Armagh has been closed due to a fallen tree.

The Legacorry Road in Richhill is closed between the Stonebridge Roundabout (Portadown Rd/Dobbin Rd ) and the entrance to Castle Drive following a fatal road traffic collision last night.
