The Lurgan concert will take place in Queen’s Street Methodist Church, where one of the band’s members, Roy Dreaning, is pastor.

Roy explained how the concert came about: “We are normally booked many months in advance, however, many local people were asking if we would come back to Lurgan again and host a concert.

“We were able to find a free weekend and decided to come back to the church where we have had so many wonderful evenings over the past six years.”

During Live Issue’s tour of the southern States in early July, the band will be representing Craigavon at the 4th of July celebrations in LaGrange Georgia, before heading to Chattanooga, Pigeon Forge, Winston Salem in North Carolina and venues in Alabama and Nashville.

Since Live Issue reformed back in 2006, the band’s unique style of music and ministry has reached a whole new generation across Ireland, the United Kingdom and America. In February 2012, the group was invited to perform at the “International Festival of Country Music” held in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast. During this event Live Issue had the opportunity to share the stage with artists such as Reba McEntire, Ricky Skaggs and George Hamilton IV.

Live Issue literally made history the last time they visited Nashville by becoming the first group from Ireland, and only the second group from the British Isles, to perform on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. Live Issue comprises of Colin Elliott, Roy Dreaning, Sam Armstrong, Carl Sands and Ivan McLernon. Although the group still plays at many events in Northern Ireland, they are also regularly found performing at concerts and conventions throughout Britain.
