Local achievers receive Mayoral Congratulations

BALLYMENA Mayor, Cllr James Currie has extended congratulations to local individuals and businesses which have achieved success over the past month.

Among those commended by him at the outset of last Tuesday night’s monthly council meeting, were -

Northern Trust Social Worker Layne Walker who has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to Residential Child Care in the Northern Trust.

William Donnelly of The Thatch Clay Target Club who won silver and bronze in the recent South African Grand in Cape Town.

Wheelchair athlete Darrell Erwin who won the Wheelchair Race at the Belfast Marathon on May 3.

Catherine Robinson, BSc (Hons) Marketing, from Ballymena, Hastings Hotels Award for Excellence - Best Overall Second Year Student at the University of Ulster.

JP Corry Ltd on winning an Octobuild Best Marketing Award at the NI Builders’ Merchants Awards.
