A band spokesman said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank all band members for the commitment over the last few years as we have had our ups and downs and now have came out stronger, and to the past members who will be on parade tonight to celebrate we hope you enjoy it.

“Can we take this moment to remember all past members who are no longer with us tonight it will be just as much about them as it is us, and we hope they look over us with joy as we parade with pride and passion to continue to celebrate our culture and heritage and keep Dollingstown Star of the North flute band strong and alive.”

A spokesman for Lurgan PUP said: “Well done to Star Of The North, Dollingstown FB on a great night. In miserable weather conditions the bands still entertained the crowds which was great to see. This further added to the family atmosphere. It was also great to see local businesses benefiting from the crowds brought along by the bands.
