Local cadets mark group's 150 years

THIS year one of the biggest and most enduring voluntary youth organisations in the UK celebrates its 150th anniversary and Cadets from across Northern Ireland have been using the anniversary as an excuse for a year-long birthday party.

RBAI school in Belfast which has its own Combined Cadet Force have been celebrating with a Friends & Families Day. Teenagers issued the Cadet challenge to parents, families and friends to come along to get a feel for the ‘serious fun’ which is the hallmark of Cadet life. The Cadets also showed off their discipline with a formal Parade, completing a memorable day with the presentation of Awards.
