Local community urged to avail of services

INDIVIDUALS and community groups have been reminded of the availability of a local suicide and self-harm prevention service.

AMH MensSana provides the Protect Life Community Resource Service in Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon, Dungannon and South Tyrone, and Newry and Mourne.

Colin Loughran, Service Manager of AMH MensSana, explains: “The organisation is keen to work in partnership with individuals and community groups and look forward to delivering and developing helpful supports appropriate to their needs.

“The Protect Life Community Resource Service will also have a signposting service, providing individuals and community groups with a valuable point of contact and sources of support regarding suicide and self harm prevention and mental health.

“Staff encourage local people and community groups to contact their Protect Life Resource Service about the support they may require and or to find out more about how we can help.”

The Public Health Agency is funding the Protect Life Community Resource Service in the Southern area.
