Local farmyard film stars

Artana Women’s Institute recently heard how local farmyard animals have been appearing in some well-known films, at their meeting on March 3.

Mrs Jennifer Gracey from Forthill Farm, Tandragee was the speaker and told of how she and her husband diversified from rearing cattle and pigs to butchering and then selling them in their farm shop. After a few years they then diversified further by hiring their animals out for parts in films, one of which was Game of Thrones with Charles Dance and another the series Blandings with Timothy Spall. Mrs Gracey brought a supply of her quality free range pork and beef products from traditional breeds, for sale. After supper the evening ended with the Countrywomens Song.
