Since 1933, Joseph Poots and Son have been providing funeral services to the people of Portadown, Lurgan and the surrounding areas.

Quality was the foundation on which the late Joseph established the business and it continues to be a priority in the care of the deceased and their families.

Many changes have occurred over the years and Joseph Poots and Son have embraced change as an opportunity to reflect on their service and improve where possible.

Their coffin range is extensive, using wood from managed forests, and their eco selection ensures that they are taking care of the environment.

Pre-paid funeral planning has become very populoar over recent years and again Joseph Poots and Son are at the forefront of this service, offering not only four set funeral plans but also a tailor-made plan which allows you to choose from their coffin range and covers not only the funeral director’s costs but also grave-opening fees, church fees, sexton, caretaker and organist fees, along with hymn sheets, newspapers and flowers.

It is even possible to pre-pay for your memorial or an additional inscription.

Although Joseph Poots and Son have been incorpporated into the Co-op, their focus on providing a quality funeral service has not changed and indeed this particular change has again allowed them to widen the choice of services and products they offer their clients.

They have always considered themselves part of the community and suport various meetings, organisations, charities, school and churches in their endeavours.

Their chosen charity this year is ‘Stand by Me.’
