Local groups given windfall from Lottery

Three local groups have received grant aid from the Big Lottery Fund's Awards for All programme.

It is part of a Big Lottery Fund grants roll out of £761,601 to 86 groups across Northern Ireland.

The Portadown based Never Too Old Club (Over 50’s) provides mental, physical and social activities to help older people across the community to age well. They received £10,000 to provide activities and outings, including rambling and a Christmas dinner.

Derryadd LOL 21 provides social activities and events for the community Derryadd, Craigavon.

The £8,940 grant they received is being used to make improvements to the hall for wider community use.

Castle Hill Foundation, based in Portadown, delivers services and activities to the victims and survivors of conflict and their carers. The project is using a £7,994 grant to provide activities such as fitness and relaxation to improve physical and mental health and wellbeing.
