Local man is guilty of drug offences
A Dunmurry man has pleaded guilty to possession of drugs.
Joseph Hamill, 20, from Old Colin in Dunmurry, appeared at Lisburn Magistrates Court this week charged with two counts of possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis. The court heard that police stopped a vehicle and found a small amount of cannabis on the defendant’s person. Police also conducted a search of the defendant’s property and found 26 grams of cannabis, with a street value of £200, in his bedroom. The case was adjourned until June 10 to allow for the compilation of pre-sentence reports.
