Over the last 12 months customers who visited a Specsavers store across the UK and Ireland were asked to complete a questionnaire on their personal experience at their local store. This included rating the store in terms of customer service, waiting times, in-store service and staff friendliness, among others.

The Larne store will only be celebrating its first birthday next month, but store director Darren Caulfield, who was presented with the award by Specsavers co-founder Dame Mary Perkins, believes it is a testament to its community-focused approach.

Darren said: “We are thrilled to have received this award. We are a small team at the Larne store and are all extremely proud of the fact that we offer high levels of customer service on a daily basis and this has now been recognised.

“My fellow store director Deirdre and I, would like to thank all of our customers who took the time to complete the questionnaire and who provided the positive feedback. In addition, we would like to thank the team at the store who work hard day-to-day to help cement our reputation as a community opticians in the area.

“This is a very timely award with our upcoming first anniversary, and we are looking forward to continuing the celebrations with our birthday weekend on Saturday, April 5.”
