Following a call for nominations on Lidl Northern Ireland’s Facebook page, PIPS Upper Bann received an unexpected visit from the Lidl Surprises team who performed a Random Act of Kindness for the Lurgan group.

The Lidl Surprises team put their interpersonal skills to good use, handing out leaflets and taking to the streets of Lurgan to educate the community on the hard work carried out PIPS Upper Bann.

PIPS Upper Bann is a suicide and self-harm prevention charity, founded in 2007 to honour the lives of those who lost their lives to suicide.

It aims to create awareness and understanding of suicide and self-harm and support the families and loved ones affected by these illnesses; thus improving mental health and wellbeing in the community.

Lidl Surprises is an exciting campaign that has been recently launched in Northern Ireland where a dedicated Lidl Surprises team travels to local communities paying impromptu visits to groups such as mums and tots, exercise classes, youth clubs, community centres and local charities..
