Local primary school pupils get scientific at St Patrick's Academy

St Patrick's Academy recently held their annual Science fair.

This event has been developed promote links with the local primary schools allow pupils to sample life in St Patrick’s.

upils from local schools are invited to get a chance to experience different practical subjects in St Patrick’s. They get the opportunity to work along with our Year 10 mentors to carry out science experiments and work in the school’s technology department building and testing structures. Pupils also have the chance to work in home economics decorating and icing biscuits for Christmas. The pupils then get to take part in a session with Brain Stewart who brings in many reptiles for his informative presentation.

Primary schools involved in the Science fair were Ballymacrickett PS, St Coleman’s PS, St Joseph’s Lisburn, Ballymacward PS, St Aloysius PS, St Joseph’s Crumlin and Oakwood IPS.
