A spokesperson said: “We were delighted to have in attendance Professor Tony Gallagher from QUB, and his colleagues Alastair Stewart and Mark Baker. They are responsible for SEP across Northern Ireland and have been very supportive of the work in Ballymoney. In addition all the principals from the partner schools were there along with teachers, facilitators, parents and pupils.
“The evening started with a brief welcome from Louise Crawford, Senior Teacher with responsibility for SEP, and then Mary Doherty, Project Co-ordinator, outlined the programme for the evening.”

Hide AdDeputy Mayor Ian Stevenson formally opened proceedings. “Appreciative words were spoken by Julie Jamison (Ballymoney Model Controlled Integrated P.S.), Vivien Moorhouse (Leaney P.S), Malachy Conlon (St Brigid’s P.S.), Sharon Tennant (Sandelford School), Maire Buckley (Vice Principal of Our Lady of Lourdes School) and Tom Skelton (Dalriada School),” said the spokesperson. Professor Tony Gallagher handed over commemorative plaques to all the partner schools and all the Year 7 pupils received SEP pens.
