Local students celebrate winning top business award

Lisburn students Hannah Cordner and Kathryn Kerr, both former pupils at Wellington College and Rosaura Knox-Bradley from Dunmurry, are celebrating success after winning top awards at the annual Ulster University Business School's Student Awards organised by the Department of Management, Leadership and Marketing.

Hannah and Rosaura who are currently studying for BSc (Hons) degrees in Marketing, won the Hastings Hotels Award for Excellence for being the best overall students in second year. Kathryn, who is completing a BSc (Hons) degree in Business Studies was presented with the CIMA (Ireland) Achievement of Excellence Award for attaining the highest mark in the Business Accounting module.

Dr Darryl Cummins, Acting Head of the Department of Management, Leadership and Marketing said: “These Awards recognise the top performers across the range of marketing, entrepreneurship and strategy related programmes.

A total of 16 sponsored awards were presented.
