Local young people are encouraged to pick up their paddle at Gilford
Banbridge Kayak and Canoe Club are offering young people the chance to experience the thrilling sport of Canoe slalom.
The ‘Junior Bladers’ programme is aimed at boys and girls aged 10-14 years and will be conducted by BCU qualified coaches at Gilford Community Centre. Canoe slalom is one of the most spectacular watersports, demanding skill and stamina but is also a lot of fun.
The programme will commence on Sunday June 22 from 1–4pm, with the weekly sessions continuing from Monday June 30 scheduled at 7–8pm and also 8-9pm. Registration is £40 for first 5 sessions including club membership and £5 per session after. Places are limited so advance booking is essential. Email the club at [email protected].
