Locality safety groups set up

PUBLIC meetings are to be held in Larne in a bid to make communities safer.

Larne Community Safety Partnership is to host information sessions to give residents an opportunity to become involved in making their areas safer and to hear about the work of the partnership.

Locality groups are to be created to represent each of the four areas in the borough, namely: Larne Coast, Larne Estates, Larne Town and Larne Lough.

Glynn village hall will host a meeting to discuss Larne Lough community safety issues on Thursday, February 25 at 7.00pm. The Lough area comprises Millbrook, Kilwaughter, Ballyboley, Glynn, Gleno, Raloo, Mounthill, Ballycarry, Islandmagee, Ballypollard, Craiganee, Ballystrudder, Mullaghboy, Browns Bay, Ballylumford, Millbay and Low Road.

Larne Coast community safety issues will be discussed in Glenlough community centre, Carnlough, on Tuesday, March 2 at 7.00pm

Larne Coast comprises Carnlough - including Drumourne, Harphall, Lemnary, Gortnagory, Stoneyhill and Garron - along with Glenarm, Ballygally, Cairncastle, Cloney, Tully, Drumcrow, and Drumnagreagh.
