Lock your vehicles say police
Police in Portstewart carried out a leaflet drop in the local area last week in a bid to make people aware of the importance of locking vehicles.
The leaflet drop came as a number of cars were broken into on Saturday, September 14. The majority of these vehicles had been left unlocked in the Portstewart area. So, police are calling on car owners to take simple crime prevention measures to avoid becoming the next victim of an opportunistic thief.
