Lockhart supports Age NI anniversary

DUP Upper Bann Assembly member Carla Lockhart visited the Age NI store in Banbridge as they celebrated the second anniversary of their opening.

The shop in Rathfriland Street, held a coffee morning to raise awareness and funds for the charity.

Age NI has six shops in Northern Ireland and as well as this, they provide domiciliary care throughout the province and a residential facility in Omagh.

After attending the event Carla Lockhart said, “ I have in the past supported Age NI and am delighted to do so again. They are so much more than a helpline for older people and provide a wide range of services. It is great to hear again of the work they are doing and be able to highlight this through the media.

“I believe it is vital that we support these shops as a great way of raising funds as they are a non profit organisation and all the money that comes into their coffers goes back out to be reinvested in better and more wide ranging facilities.”
