Londonderry Clipper is lit green for St Patrick
The Londonderry Clipper Yacht was lit green in Qingdao, China, this weekend for Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening campaign.
The 12-strong fleet of Clipper Yachts competing in the Clipper 13-14 Round the World International Yacht Race sailed for San Francisco on Sunday (March 16) and are scheduled to arrive in April.
From there they’ll sail on to New York via the Panama Canal.
Londonderry will welcome the Clipper fleet to the city on its penultimate race, which will coincide with a Maritime Homecoming Festival over June 21 to 29.
