Londonderry clothing firm posts a success

THE economic downturn in the Republic of Ireland has benefitted a Londonderry clothing company.

Hunter Apparel Solutions in the city has won part of a €3 million contract to supply An Post, the Republic’s postal service, with their uniforms over the next four years.

The Londonderry firm will supply materials including boots and weather gear.

A spokesperson for An Post said Hunter’s was chosen because of its “extensive experience in providing uniforms for state companies”. This is despite the fact that 14 Irish companies applied for the contract.
