Sarah Gallagher fundraiser said: "On behalf of all the participants I would like to thank all their family, friends, work colleagues and local businesses that have supported the participants through donations and sponsorship.

"The participants committed a lot of time and effort to raise their sponsorship in fact some of them surpassing their targets. The group undertook a fantastic and challenging adventure so that children in Tanzania and Ethiopia have the opportunities for a better future.

"I would personally like to thank each of the participants for their hard work and dedication over the last few months. The money raised will benefit our projects in so many ways and will be felt for many years to come.
