Londonderry man arrested as part of Tilbury trafficking investigation

A 33-year-old man from Londonderry has been detained as part of a police investigation into the Tilbury Dock human trafficking case after voluntarily attending a police station in Essex on Wednesday afternoon.

The development follows the arrest of a 34-year-old man from Limavady, just after midday on Tuesday on the A1 at Banbridge, Co Down, as part of the same probe.

The Londonderry man will be questioned on suspicion of manslaughter and facilitating illegal entry into the UK linked to the investigation into the death of a man found in a container at Tilbury Docks on Saturday.
