Londonderry man ‘critical’ after gas blast
Homes around the house where the blast occurred in the Bonds Street area have been evacuated, and PSNI and NI Fire and Rescue Service personnel are at the scene.
The incident took place at approximately 10.30 pm last night (Monday, October 14).

Hide AdDUP councillor, Drew Thompson said eyewitnesses had described the man as running from the house on fire.
A spokesman for the PSNI said they were working with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and other agencies to ensure the surrounding area was safe.
This morning officials from Derry City Council were in attendance to check on the structural integrity of the house and other nearby buildings. Debris from the house was clearly visible strewn in Bonds street this morning.
A number of people were evacuated from their homes last night, but the majority of them are believed to have returned to their houses by around 2am this morning.
Residents of an area half a mile away at Fountain Hill said they could hear the “crackle of flames” from their homes,
