Londonderry man hospitalised following serious assault

COPS are hunting a group of males who seriously assaulted a man in Londonderry last Sunday, leaving him in hospital.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in the Cornshell Fields area on Sunday afternoon (9th).

The victim was confronted by a group of males who struck him on the head with an object.

He currently remains in hospital. Anyone who was in the area around 4pm and could help police with their enquiries is asked to contact Strand Road CID on 0845 600 8000.
