‘Longest serving’ trader retiring

LOCAL business-owners and Chamber of Commerce staff have paid tribute to one of Carrick’s longest serving traders, who retires this month after a remarkable 46 years in the town.

Terry Windsor, owner of Windsor Electrical in Market Place, was congratulated at a reception at the Chamber’s West Street office on Thursday evening.

“I’d thought long and hard about retiring and now seemed to be the right time,” Terry said. “I’ve seen a lot of changes in Carrickfergus over the years; once there wasn’t an empty shop to be seen along West Street and Market Place, but the town centre has suffered badly.” (full story in this week’s Carrick Times, on sale now)
