Lord Lieutenant at Ballymena Trefoil Guild

THE first meeting of Ballymena Trefoil Guild for the 2012-2013 season was a guest evening.

The speaker was Mrs Joan Christie OBE, Lord Lieutenant for County Antrim, who gave a very informative and amusing talk about her role as Her Majesty the Queen’s representative in the county. She also spoke about her experience as a guest at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011.

Mrs Christie is a former County Commissioner for Girlguiding North Antrim and still promotes Girlguiding, as the County’s Ambassador, whenever an opportunity arises.
