Lottery boost for local groups
Two groups in the Ballymena borough have been awarded funding from the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All programme.
The small grants programme is awarding almost £9,000 to the local groups as part of a grants roll-out of £629,806 to 79 groups across Northern Ireland.
Ballymena Substance Users Support Group receives a grant of £8,267 to buy equipment and organise good practice visits to similar groups who support people affected by substance abuse within Northern Ireland. Tri ps and a range of activities will be planned for group members.
Members of Portglenone Thursday Senior Citizens Bowling Club will be able to enjoy a range of activities funded by the club’s £720 grant.
