Loud bangs give rise to concern
A SERIES of loud bangs on Tuesday night gave rise to concern in the Lurgan area.
The loud explosions which lasted for 10 to 15 minutes at around 11pm were assumed by some to be gunfire, but it later emerged the sound was fireworks in Magheralin.
The fireworks were being let off at a school formal at Edenmore Golf Club.
